👨‍💼✍💻 Slack

Slack is a corporate messenger created by 👨‍💻 Developer Stuart Butterfield. The messenger was first tested in August 2013, and on February 12, 2014, it was officially released.

Slack has become the fastest growing corporate app according to the American 📰 Magazine Fast Company. As of June 2015, 📊 Statistics showed that 1.1 million users use it every day.

Slack is designed to bring business correspondence from 📧 Email and other instant messengers into one application to structure the workflow and bring the team together in one workspace. Its advantage is that this service allows users to view all discussions in public channels, closed groups, and private correspondence in one window. Also, Slack has its own hosting, the ability to 🔎 Search for a particular message among others, and image preview.

Slack doesn’t have its own emojis, so they adapt to the user’s system: Android or IOS. Also in this application, you can download and add custom emojis.

To download the author’s emojis and emoticons you need:

  1. Click the arrow at the top of the left sidebar next to the workspace name.
  2. In a pop-up menu click the Set up Slack button.
  3. Select the Emoji tab.
  4. Click the Add Custom Emoji button.
  5. Click the Upload Image button and select an emoji image from your 💻 Computer.
  6. Create and enter an emoji name to find it in the emoji selector or add to your message.
  7. Click Save.
Pay attention: The size of the emoji image must be 128 x 128 pixels.

Use the Slack collection to distribute information to channels, 🗣 discuss 📋 tasks, create a private #️⃣ chat or group for personal communication, add 🆕 new employees to a channel, view 💻📨 messages from employees, and so on.
