The main symbol of the holiday is traditionally considered a groundhog, as well as the film βGroundhog Dayβ, thanks to which this holiday gained its popularity. It was the film that gave us the well-known expression βGroundhog Dayβ, which means an βΎοΈ Endless day, in which everything happens again and again, as in a vicious circle.
The date of the holiday is also symbolic because on February 2nd, the sun passes the intermediate quarter between the βοΈ Winter solstice and the πΈ Spring equinox.
