On the page ⚪📅 White Day the following information is presented:
1. Holiday history of ⚪📅 White Day
The idea of the holiday originated in 1965 in the 🇯🇵 Japanese confectionery company “Marshmallow company”, which produced white marshmallows. They created an ad designed to encourage men to thank women with marshmallows for their gifts on 💖 Valentine’s Day. Thus, a holiday called Marshmallow Day (Marshmallow Day) appeared, which the Japanese women really liked.
Over time the tradition of giving only marshmallows disappeared and men began to present all kinds of 🍬 Sweets and other gifts, so the holiday was given a new name — ⚪ White Day. It received this name also because in 1978 Japanese companies began to produce white 🍫 Chocolate, which was also popular in the form of a gift. Since then, the White Day holiday has been postponed to March 14, so that exactly a month has passed since Valentine’s Day.

The main tradition of the White Day holiday is that men give women a gift called Giri Choco. The Japanese even came up with an additional tradition called sanbai gaesh — “returned in three times”, according to which a man’s gift in return should be 2-3 times more expensive than a woman’s on Valentine’s Day.
But this tradition only applies to 💑 Couples. In the case of 👩💼 Colleagues at work, if the female employees presented a colleague with Giri-Choko – “chocolate out of a sense of duty” on February 14, then on March 14 he can make a similar gift and not worry about the price.
Traditionally, in addition to white chocolate, it is customary to give marshmallows, 🍪 Cookies, 💍 Jewelry, and mostly white 👙 Underwear. After all, this color is the main symbol of the holiday and symbolizes pure and beautiful youthful ❤️ Love.
