In 1872, in the United States, Julia Hord supported Motherโs Day for the first time. She made a ๐ฃ Speech that this holiday is meant to unite mothers in the war for universal peace. But few people supported her idea.
Ann Reeves Jarvis began to be considered the founder of Motherโs Day over time. She was involved in the creation of groups to ๐ Help ๐ค Sick ๐ฉ Mothers and their ๐ถ Children. After Anne died in 1905, her daughter Anna came up with the initiative to create a holiday in honor of mothers.
