The idea of this holiday was born in 2014, thanks to the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi. He motivated his idea by the fact that yoga helps to feel unity with oneself and the world. In the same year, 175 countries of the world signed the 📜 Resolution of the UN General Assembly No. 69/131 establishing the International Day of Yoga.
Thus, the initiative of Narendra Modi helped the rulers of other countries and the population to understand the benefits of yoga for psychological and physical health, as well as for the psycho-emotional state in modern stressful times.
