🪻 Nowruz
Nowruz or Persian 🎄 New Year is a traditional 🎉 Holiday celebrated annually by the Iranian and Turkic peoples. The holiday commemorates the arrival of 🌸 Spring in the Northern Hemisphere and the beginning of the new year according to the ancient Iranian ☀️ Solar 📆 Calendar.
According to the Gregorian style, Nowruz is celebrated on the day of the astronomical vernal equinox, which in different years occurs between March 19 and 22. But in many countries the permanent date for the celebration is March 21.

History of the holiday
Nowruz is first mentioned in the ancient 📚 Books dated back to the 2nd century B.C., but 🧑🔬 Scientists suggest that the holiday is even several centuries older. It is rooted in the traditions of the Iranian religions of Mithraism and Zoroastrianism, which preach a connection with the light of the ☀️ Sun and 🧍 Man with nature in general.According to the belief, 👑 King Jamshid once ascended on his throne to the heavens, where 🌟 Shone like the sun, thus saving humanity from eternal ❄️️ Cold. And the day on which this happened was considered the first day of the year.

- Since 2009 Nowruz is included in Representative 📝 List of UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity , and since 2010 it is considered an International Day by a UN resolution.
Traditions and symbols of 🪻 Nowruz
The celebration is always preceded by a general cleaning of the 🏠 House, which begins a few weeks before the vernal equinox. It symbolizes getting rid of all the old accumulated over the past year. People also buy groceries and new 👗👔 outfits and stock up on holiday symbols 🪻 hyacinth and 🌷 tulips.On the day of the arrival of Nowruz, the table of Haft-sin is set, where one would always find these 7 must-have dishes and products: 🧄 Garlic, vinegar, 🍏🍎 apples, sprouted grains or 🫘 beans in a dish, wheat Samanu 🍮 Pudding, sumac spice and Persian 🫒 Olive. Hyacinths, dyed 🥚 Eggs, 🐟 Fish dishes and 🍬 Sweets are also placed on the table.
After Nowruz's Eve, a 13-day celebration begins as people visit family and 👫 Friends, have dinners together and large 🥳 Parties. The treats of these days are 🍪 Cookies, 🍊 Fruit, 🥜 Nuts and 🍵 Tea. The Oriental 🎅 "Santa Claus" brings children 🎁 Presents, and his companion named 🤡 Haji Firuz entertains passersby.
